On the morning of December 7, 1941, the USS Oklahoma lay tied up next to the USS Maryland at pier Foxtrot 5 when the attack occurred. Though USS Oklahoma capsized and suffered 429 casualties, the second largest loss of life after the USS Arizona. The crew of the USS Oklahoma will be honored in the afternoon of December 7 at the USS Oklahoma Memorial on Ford Island.
